The Amazing Whirlwind
"Let's walk to work today all right?" "Yes, that's probably a good idea with so many people being in town. Parking places would be almost impossible to get for the next couple of months while all the tourist were in town, so okay, let's walk," I said. I thought, "Two miles to work is nothing, I could do that walking on my hands if I had to, yea right." Bulldog walks much faster than I do, so when you see us walking together I'm usually trailing behind him a few steps or so. Boy it was so hot that morning, not even a breeze could be found and here it wasn't even ten O'clock yet so I knew this was going to be one of those miserable hot days we experienced in mid summer here in Reno. "I'm hot, I'm thirsty," I complained, "I wish I had a big cold coke," I said in a loud voice." "Well, if I had the money I'd buy you a big cold coke, but tomorrow is payday." "I know," I said. That didn't stop me from grumbling to myself though, I continued on finally saying, "Lord, I am so hot. I don't think I can make it the rest of the way. Sir, there's not even a breeze out here and I could sure use a big cold coke," and I left it out that, and tried hard to think about something else. I was walking slower and slower, the sweat streaming down my face, neck and body, and I heard this rustling noise; hoping it was a breeze, even a car that would whiz by creating a little breeze, a bicycle would even work I thought but no, no it wasn't a car, a bicycle or anything to send a breeze. I looked around and much to my disappointment there was absolutely no hope of a breeze anywhere in sight. But I could still hear this rustling sound and it sounded as if it was wind somewhere and very near; I looked all around seeing nothing, then I glanced down and much too my surprise, there was a small whirlwind on my right side and the top of it reached my knees or a little higher and Praise God in the middle of this beautiful little whirlwind was a crisp one dollar bill sticking out of the top of it, I didn't even have to bend over to get it and I just started thanking the Lord right then. "Bulldog, Bulldog look, look at what the Lord has given us, it a crisp one dollar bill here in this little whirlwind." It was truly a miracle an awesome sight to say the least and such love. The Lord's timing is always perfect; all we had to do was walk across the mini marts driveway and into the store in order to buy one cold coke making for a happy child of God. Bulldog and I were then walking together in disbelief, yet awesome wonders and full of praises when Bulldog said, "The Lord is good as Mc Donalds." "Why would you say that," I ask, "Because not only did he buy a big cold coke, he gave us a penny to start all over with again." See the Lord thought of everything. The moral of this story is this, there is nothing Jesus Christ will not supply for us, when you love and serve him diligently. It still amazes me though when I think of this blessing, just think, the Lord cared enough about us to send us a crisp one-dollar bill in a whirlwind to quench our thirst and cool us down in order for us to finish the walk we started in good faith that morning. Praise the Lord for he is so worthy; because He is a mighty caring God he is also my best friend. But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ.
